Brief overview of my career:
After I qualified as a solicitor in 2015, I gained significant experience working in general practice but always had a particular interest in property, probate and tax law. I joined Lavelle Partners in 2017 and since then I specialize in working with individual clients on all matters pertaining to property/conveyancing, personal estate and tax planning, wills and succession, administration of estates and contentious issues arising on probates. My work includes the drafting and registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney and dealing with Ward of Court applications and I am delighted that, I also work very closely with a leading national homeless charity.
Professional memberships & accreditations:
- Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP)
- Admitted to the Law Society of Ireland
- Admitted to the Law Society of England and Wales
What I offer my clients:
The combination of my passion for the law I practice and my extensive experience in drafting Wills and providing advice in the management of estates means that my clients benefit from a very personal, bespoke service. I work very closely with clients to achieve their objectives in an efficient and practical manner. My natural capacity to build strong and sustainable relationships with clients coupled with my experience and knowledge allow me to offer practical advice in a sensitive manner to my clients.
Why I love what I do:
As an area of law, Wills, Probate, Estate planning is considered by many as niche, or even an addition to the day to day work in general practice. For me, I find it incredibly interesting as I am helping people manage their wealth and provide for their future generations, as well as dealing with the sensitive and sometimes contentious issues which might arise. The variety and range of complexities that I see in my line of work is another reason for my preference to specialize in this field.
I love interacting with people and working closely with them to achieve practical solutions to meet their individual needs. Many of my clients will be meeting me with sensitive issues or at a difficult time in their lives and I find it rewarding to be able to assist them during these times.
I am currently studying for my Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Diploma which takes up most weekends – in my downtime I love cooking, travelling and spending time back home in the west.
