MPhil, BA, Diploma in Employment Law.
I worked for 9 years as a paralegal in three law firms in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before coming to Ireland where I specialized in the defense of complex toxic tort matters. I then worked as a law clerk in the Refugee Legal Service in Dublin where I was part of a team advocating on behalf of unaccompanied minors.
My traineeship in a mid-tier Dublin firm offered me great experience in various areas of law including commercial litigation, employment law, company law, contract law, insolvency (both corporate and personal), landlord and tenant, probate, shareholder disputes and defamation. Further to my qualification, I specialized in High Court litigation and employment law, both contentious and non-contentious.
My focus has always been in the area of litigation and prior to joining Lavelle Partners, I worked extensively in employment law and also with financial institutions particularly in regard to High Court litigation.
Since joining Lavelle Partners in 2018, I have continued in my role as a commercial litigator, in particular mortgage litigation, while also keeping a toe in the employment law world.
I offer a no nonsense approach to law and am quick to identify pertinent issues for clients. My array of experience enables me apply a variety styles and strategies to litigation to ensure the best possible outcome. I am friendly and open to clients while maintaining a firm but professional/collegial relationship with opposing firms.
I am an avid amateur landscape photographer and have travelled to Africa, Iceland, Languedoc and Tuscany chasing the ultimate sunrise or sunset and, at other times, the aurora.
