International Women’s Day 2026
To celebrate International Women’s Day, we were delighted to attend the annual event hosted by the charity An Cosán, alongside some of Ireland’s most inspiring women.
The event featured inspirational stories, meaningful conversation and a shared commitment to continue empowering women through the power of education.
This year, An Cosán are celebrating forty remarkable years of impact in Ireland, having enabled thousands of women and their families to transform their futures through education, opportunity and community.
About An Cosán
Since 1986, An Cosán has been at the forefront of transformative education in Ireland, empowering over 21,000 women to reshape their futures.
The charitable organisation work with over 240 community organisations throughout the country.
Their approach recognises that education alone isn’t enough and true transformation requires comprehensive support. Every woman who walks through their doors finds not just a classroom, but a complete support system, from childcare to counselling, technology access to financial support. This nurturing environment allows both women and their children to flourish, creating lasting change that ripples through generations.
