Lavelle Partners secured a significant settlement for a Plaintiff who was injured when he was retrieving a ball near the railings of a local authority development, when his foot became trapped in a deep unsecured hole, hidden in the grass.

The Plaintiff was present at the property of the local authority for a football game and was attempting to retrieve a ball from an area situated adjacent to the pitch  when the Plaintiff’s leg became trapped in an uncovered cylindrical below-ground chamber resulting in the Plaintiff suffering severe personal injuries, shock and expense.

The matter was settled prior to the hearing date.
