We are looking for an experienced Legal Executive to join our very busy and friendly Debt and Asset Recovery Team, based in Dublin 2.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Managing a high-volume, fast-moving workload.
- Drafting proceedings.
- Service of proceedings.
- Instructing summons servers and tracing agents.
- Drafting motions.
- Taking instructions from clients.
- Briefing counsel to include preparation of briefs.
- Dealing with incoming telephone calls and correspondence from agents, solicitors and defendants.
- Liaising with clients over court outcome and next steps.
- Contributing to departmental monthly target.
- Liaising with court services.
- Ensuring safe and efficient handling of confidential data.
Key qualities required:
- The ideal candidate should have one to three years of experience working in a law firm.
- Previous experience in general debt is a significant advantage.
- Calm, professional and approachable manner
- Excellent administration skills which demonstrate an eye for detail and an ability to organise, manage and prioritise work within the team.
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as being a strong team player with a desire to learn.
- Strong IT Skills including competency in Word, Excel, Outlook, experience of case management systems (Keyhouse is an advantage) and excellent numeracy skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Please note that this role is for a Legal Executive; FE-1 candidates will not be considered.
