We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our busy and friendly Debt and Asset Recovery Team, based in Dublin 2.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Managing a high-volume, fast-moving workload
  • Assisting with instructing summons servers and tracing agents
  • Taking instructions from clients
  • Preparation of briefs
  • Dealing with incoming telephone calls and correspondence from agents, solicitors, and defendants
  • Preparing reports
  • Liaising with court services
  • Ensuring safe and efficient handling of confidential data

Key qualities required:

  • The ideal candidate should have one to two years of experience working in a law firm. Previous experience in mortgage litigation / debt collection is a significant advantage
  • Calm, professional and approachable manner
  • Excellent administration skills which demonstrate an eye for detail and an ability to organise, manage and prioritise work within the team
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as being a strong team player with a desire to learn
  • Strong IT Skills including competency in Word, Excel, Outlook, experience of case management systems (Keyhouse is an advantage) and excellent numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
