Peter McVerry Trust Launch the 29th Wexford Charity Cycle.

Over 35 Years ago, Peter McVerry Trust was set up by Fr Peter McVerry to reduce homelessness and the harm caused by drug misuse and social disadvantage. The Trust provides low-threshold entry services, primarily to younger people and vulnerable adults with complex needs, and offers pathways out of homelessness based on the principles of the Housing First model.

As a registered charity, the trust relies heavy on fundraising, dedicated volunteers and support from the business community to enable them carry out their incredible work.  One of the biggest events in their fundraising calendar is the Wexford Cycle, now in it’s 28th Year. The cycle, on September 15th will start at UCD and ends in Wexford Town and we were delighted to join the team at the launch event in a very sunny Dublin, yesterday morning.  Among those at the launch were Pat Doyle, CEO of the Peter McVerry Trust, RTE’s Ray D’Arcy and four of the original cyclists including our very own Mick Lavelle.

We are encouraging you to join us on this incredible cycle through some beautiful scenery and if you register before June 14th, you can avail of the early bird registration fee of €65.00
